Downtown Dallas Hotel Evacuated After 3-Alarm Fire

Firefighters said a three-alarm fire at a parking garage in downtown Dallas was intentionally set Wednesday morning.

Dallas Fire-Rescue officials said the fire was sparked in a vacant building under construction in the 200 block of South Ervay Street at 3:02 a.m.

A Hampton Inn & Suites adjacent to the fire was evacuated as a precaution.

The fire was extinguished by 5 a.m., according to Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesman Jason Evans.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators said Friday morning that the fire had "multiple points of origin," leading them to believe it was intentionally set.
