Two lanes of Interstate 35W were closed for several hours Monday after a fatal crash involving three vehicles in far North Fort Worth.
The crash, which involved an 18-wheeler, a midsize sport utility vehicle and a sedan, took place in the northbound lanes of I-35W south of Western Center Boulevard.
The sedan was crushed and pinned against the retaining wall. Further details about what led to the crash, or those injured or killed, have not been released.
With only one lane clear on I-35W, traffic in the northbound lanes were backed up seven miles to state Highway 121 for several hours.
Late Monday morning, the roadway totally reopened to traffic.
