A family in The Colony is fighting the city to keep its beloved pet Juliana pig.
Regina Hubbard said she received a citation from the city telling her she has 30 days to get rid of "Benjamin."
The city considers the pig livestock and a violation of city ordinance.
But the Hubbards consider Benjamin a part of the family.
"People have pets that I may not ever have. I've had guinea pigs, and I didn't like them, but I've got this pig and I just, I don't want to make him go away," Hubbard said.
City leaders in The Colony considered changes to the ordinance but ultimately decided against it.
They said the city is not equipped in the event that Benjamin were to get rabies.
