Fake Dallas Nurse Guilty of Fraud in ID Theft Case

A North Texas woman who stole personal documents from a registered nurse and faked being a health care worker faces up to 15 years in prison.

Jada Necole Antoine of Dallas pleaded guilty Tuesday to fraud in connection with means of identification.

Prosecutors in Dallas say the 33-year-old Antoine stole a nurse's identifying documents, including driver's license and Social Security number.

Antoine was not licensed for health care when she worked for eight hospice companies in the Dallas area since 2009. She was arrested last summer in Georgia and remains in custody pending sentencing in March.

Prosecutors didn't immediately say how Antoine stole the documents or whether any patients were harmed. Eight companies unwittingly submitted about $2.3 million in hospice claims to Medicare for health care provided by Antoine.
