Watauga fire investigators said an explosion in a storage building behind a residence was caused by a compressed gas cylinder that caught fire.
Police and firefighters arrived at a home on the 5600 block of Philadelphia Court, off Highway 377 near Watauga Road, at about 3 p.m. Wednesday.
The shed and a child's playhouse were destroyed.
No one was injured.
