An ex-journalism teacher at a North Texas high school has been sentenced to a maximum 60 years in prison for soliciting teens for child pornography.
Gregory Bogomol of Fort Worth was sentenced Thursday.
The 39-year-old Bogomol pleaded guilty Oct. 15 to two counts of production of child pornography.
A federal judge in Fort Worth sentenced the former Denton High School teacher to 30 years per count, to be served consecutively.
The investigation began last April when the parents of a 15-year-old Louisiana boy reported he received sexually explicit cellphone messages from someone pretending to be a girl.
Prosecutors say Bogomol coerced the youth into sending a nude photo of himself. Bogomol days later coerced another child to also send a suggestive image.
Bogomol resigned shortly before his arrest last May.
