Erratic Driver Leads Grand Prairie Police, DCSO on Chase

An erratic driver is facing charges after leading police officers and deputies on an hourlong chase through two cities early Friday morning.

The chase started just after midnight in Grand Prairie when officers tried to stop the driver of a Jaguar.  The driver, instead, drove away.

The driver eventually pulled into the parking lot of the Southwest Center Mall where he drove around for about 20 minutes, officials said, before again driving away.

Officers were able to eventually stop the man by using road spikes a few blocks from the mall.

The driver, whose identity has not been revealed, was arrested near U.S. Highway 67 and Gannon Lane.

Deputies with the Dallas County Sheriff's Department assisted in the chase.
