Investigators say an East Texas man has died after apparently being struck by lightning while outside his home.
The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday identified the victim as 60-year-old Hank Wiederhold of Nacogdoches.
Sheriff Jason Bridges says Widerhold's body was discovered last Friday in his backyard near a tree. The victim had a burn mark on his midsection
Witnesses reported hearing a loud boom prior to Wiederhold being found dead.
