Drivers in Crowley ISD Bus Crash Terminated

Two bus drivers at the wheel when two buses from Crowley Independent School District collided have been terminated, according to the bus company.

Nearly three dozen students were injured when one bus rear-ended another bus on April 27, near the intersection of Summer Creek Drive and Summer Park Drive in southwest Fort Worth.

Crowley ISD Buses Crash; Students Injured

Molly Hart with Durham School Serviecs in Illinois said Tuesday that the two drivers involved in the collision were terminated, but no other information was available.

A Fort Worth Fire Department spokesperson said 70 students were on the two buses, and 31 students, along with both bus drivers, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of minor injuries including stitches and whiplash symptoms.

Nearly three dozen students were injured when two buses from the Crowley Independent School District collided Monday afternoon in southwest Fort Worth.

Both buses sustained significant damage.

Durham, the second-largest school bus company in the country, has 13,688 buses and employs 13,350 drivers. It carries about 1 million student passengers every day.
