Driver Killed in I-30 Crash East of Dallas

One person has died after a two-vehicle collision Friday afternoon on Interstate 30 in Hunt County.

The crash was reported at about 3 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-30 near Cumby, east of Dallas.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said a Ford F-250 pickup slammed into the back of an 18-wheeler that slowed down in traffic.

The driver of that pickup died. His identity has not been released.

Paramedics rushed a child passenger in the truck by air ambulance to Children's Medical Center in Dallas.
