Driver Dies from Injuries in Grand Prairie Crash

A woman involved in a crash Monday morning in Grand Prairie has died from her injuries, police say.

Guadalupe Alvarado, 34, of Grand Prairie, was turning from eastbound Royal Valley onto northbound Carrier Parkway about 8 a.m. Monday when her Nissan Altima was struck on the driver's side by a southbound Jeep Cherokee, Grand Prairie police said.

Alvarado was transported to Medical Center of Arlington, where she died Tuesday evening.

The driver of the Jeep, 19-year-old Miguel Olalde, of Grand Prairie, was not injured.

Police said the crash, which was the second traffic fatality in Grand Prairie this year, remains under investigation.
