Dog Tied to Tree Gets Adopted

A beagle who was rescued by Dallas police has a new home.

Officers said Eli was adopted over the weekend.

Officers Brian Nolff and Tomica McCloud were working with Crisis Intervention, which helps provide services to the homeless, at an abandoned homeless encampment when they found Eli tied to a tree without any food or water in late April.

After being rescued, Eli was micro-chipped, given all of his shots and was ready for a new home.

Just about a week later, Eli was adopted. No information has been released about his new home, although police did post a couple of new photos of Eli.
