Dallas Veterans Day Parade Honors Gulf War Vets

The 2017 Veterans Day Parade in Dallas will honor the veterans of the Gulf War: Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

The parade starts Friday at 11 a.m. in downtown Dallas. It begins at Union Station and ends near City Hall.

NBC 5's Brian Curtis will emcee the parade with Mike Rogers from NewsRadio 1080 KRLD-AM.

This year's Grand Marshals are Colonel William Dwiggins (US Army Retired) and Command Sergeant Major Juan Ramon Hernandez (US Army Retired).

Military vehicles and equipment, veterans organizations and more will be available for viewing at 9:30 a.m. in front of Dallas City Hall and will be dismantled after the parade.
