NEA-Dallas Survey Shows Concern Over DISD Leadership

A survey of 428 Dallas National Education Association members shows a drop in confidence at DISD.

The Dallas School District is in the middle of a financial crisis because of a projected $84 million shortfall.

428 members of the Dallas NEA were questioned and below are their responses to several questions in the survey.

Do you have confidence in Dr. Michael Hinojosa's leadership of the Dallas Independent School District?

Yes: 6%

No: 94%

Do you have confidence in Dr. Michael Hinojosa's management of the Dallas Independent School District?

Yes: 4%

No: 96%

Do you believe the Dallas ISD Board of Trustees has the best interests of Dallas schoolchildren and Dallas educators at heart when they make decisions?

Yes: 14%

No: 86%

"A superintendent cannot work effectively in a district where so many of its employees have no confidence in his leadership and management." NEA-Dallas President Dale Kaiser said.
