A Dallas school district middle school teacher is accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old student.
Thomas C. Marsh Middle School teacher Scott Alcaraz, 26, was arrested on two counts of sexual assault.
Alcaraz, a math teacher and an assistant basketball coach, is accused of having sex with a 14-year-old girl in his classroom.
Dallas Independent School District officials will meet with parents Monday night about the allegations.
In a letter to parents Friday, the school said that Alcaraz was immediately placed on administrative leave after the allegation was made the previous week. Police arrested him last week after more information surfaced, the school said.
Alcaraz was released on a $50,000 bond on Saturday.
