Perschman was previously dubbed the "t-shirt bandit" because he usually wore a long-sleeved shirt and either a t-shirt or towel draped over his head to disguise his identity.
He was released from federal custody in February 2011 after serving a 63-month sentence for robbing 18 Dallas banks in 2006.
Perschman was serving a three-year term of supervised release that would have ended in February 2014.
