Dallas SWAT Arrest Man After Standoff

A man is under arrest after holding Dallas SWAT officers at bay for about four hours Thursday morning.

Police were called to the Rosemont at Ash Creek Apartments, 2605 John West Road, around 4 a.m., said Dallas Police Sergeant David Conley.

The initial call was for a domestic dispute. When officers arrived, they found a woman with non life-threatening injuries. No one else was injured.

The man involved wouldn't come out of the apartment. Per policy, a SWAT response was initiated for the safety of the officers and surrounding residents, Sgt. Conley said.

Witnesses in nearby apartments say they were evacuated around 6 a.m. when police told them the man may have a gun nearby.

The man did not have a weapon when he was arrested, Sgt. Conley said.

Police said the charges the man faces have yet to be determined. His name hasn't yet been released.
