Several units responded to an emergency disturbance call in the 10400 block of High Hollows Drive at about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, according to Dallas police. When officers arrived, the victim told them Edward Foy threatened to harm him with a bow and arrow.

Foy returned to his home where he barricaded himself, according to police. Officers tried to contact him, but were unsuccessful.

SWAT officers arrived and were able to make contact with Foy's mother, who told them Foy was asleep inside.

Police said they obtained an arrest warrant for Foy, went into his unlocked apartment and took him into custody without incident at about 5 a.m. Wednesday.

Foy was booked into the Dallas County Jail on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

No injuries were reported.

Officers blocked off Meadow Road from U.S. 75 to Regal Oaks Drive during the standoff.
