The manager of the Sports Authority store in the 9100 block of North Central Expressway told NBC 5 he called police when he went to open the store and saw a man inside.

Store employees were told to park away from the building. Other stores told employees to stay away from the area.

Officers responded at about 5:45 a.m.and unlocked the doors for the manager, according to Dallas police. Police said they were told multiple people went inside, took merchandise and left, though one person might have been inside.

Police went into the store with guns drawn at about 7:15 a.m., but did not find anyone inside.
