Vehicle was traveling eastbound on Grand Avenue according to Dallas police

Dallas Police are on the lookout for a hit and run driver who killed a 51-year old mother and grandmother.

Terri Donnell was killed after a hit and run as she crossed the street near the 2700 block of Grand Ave on June 8. Police say it was an unmarked intersection.

Her daughter, Erica Anderson, says she got the phone call from a family friend soon after.

"He was just like baby I'm sorry your mother got hit and they took her to Baylor," she said.

The driver never stopped to render aid, according to police.

"My momma had a smile that would light up your life," said Anderson through tears.

Now, Anderson is planning the funeral and hoping for justice.

Donnell leaves behind a large family, including grandchildren.

Anderson said she hasn't told her son yet.

"I can't tell my baby he lost his granny, he won't see his granny again, he'll tell me to call his granny," she said.

If you know anything about the car or the driver, you’re asked to call the Dallas Police Vehicle Crimes Unit at 214-670-5818.
