Dallas Police Search for Detergent Thieves

Caught on Camera: Family takes kid with them as they shoplift from 7-Eleven

Dallas police want the public's help catching four people wanted for shoplifting laundry detergent from a convenience store.

It happened at a 7-Eleven in the 200 block of E. Colorado Boulevard on August 29.

One of the two couples even brought a child along and it was all caught on the store's surveillance camera.

The video shows a man and woman at the back of the store, the woman opens her purse and loads it up with several containers of liquid detergent. She zips up her purse and then the man puts two bottles in his waistband and walks away.

At 1:25 into the video a second man and woman, along with a little boy, walk up to the same shelf at the back of the store.

The man and little boy walk away as the woman begins loading her purse with detergent. When the man and little boy return the child is seen shielding his eyes to the shoplifting.

At 2:12 into the video a surveillance camera outside the store shows the couples leaving together and getting into a small maroon vehicle with missing hubcaps.

Police say the couples stole $100 worth of laundry detergent.
