Dallas Police Officer James Covey was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated Saturday afternoon at about 4 p.m. while on duty.
Officer Covey has been with the Dallas Police Department since January 2008.
He was placed on administrative leave pending an internal affairs division investigation.
