Dallas Officer Stephen Vineyard was arrested Sunday morning, accused of assault and family violence involving his fiancee, police say.
According to a police statement, 34-year-old Vineyard and his fiancee were sitting in their vehicle at their home when an altercation occurred between the two.
Vineyard was booked into Dallas County Jail for assault causing bodily injury in family violence, police said. He was released Sunday afternoon after posting $1,500 bond.
Stephen Vineyard has been with the Dallas Police Department since November 2007.
The Dallas Police Department's Internal Affairs Division is investigating.
Vineyard is currently on administrative leave.
