The Dallas Police Department is investigating after they say a man forced his way into a woman's apartment and sexually assaulted her.
Officers say the attack happened late Friday night in the 6200 block of Melody Lane, near Highway 75 and East Northwest Highway.
Investigators say around 10:30 p.m., the woman was asleep inside her apartment when the man forced his way in and assaulted her.
The man is described as African American, weighing 200-pounds, around six foot tall and has a muscular build with possible injuries to his hands.
