Dallas House Destroyed by Fire

Dallas Fire-Rescue called the fire suspicious

Dallas Fire-Rescue says an abandoned house in Dallas was destroyed by fire early Monday morning.

Firefighters were called to the house in the 1500 block of Morrell Avenue near the Dallas Zoo just after 3:30 a.m.

The one-story wood frame home was engulfed in flames.

Firefighters worked to keep the fire from spreading to a neighboring home, but the house was gutted.

Dallas Fire-Rescue says the home was vacant, no one was found inside.

NBC 5's Keaton Fox contributed to this report.
