Dallas Gay Pride Parade & Weekend Celebrate 35 Years

It’s the biggest weekend for the North Texas LGBT community and allies.

This year, the Dallas Pride Parade will celebrate 35 years of celebrating diversity.

The parade and festival are hailed as a “party with a purpose,” punctuated with love, acceptance and equality.

It’s the biggest weekend for the North Texas LGBT community and allies.

“It’s important because there are a lot of people, whether youth or adults, who don’t get to be themselves in their normal everyday lives and this is one day they can be themselves – no judgment,” incoming Dallas Pride executive Jaron Turnbow said.

Nearly 55,000 people are expected to descend on Dallas during the weekend. The most heavily attended events are usually Saturday’s Pride Festival at Reverchon Park and Sunday’s Alan Ross Texas Freedom Pride Parade.
