Dallas County is introducing a program that promises tuition-free college for approximately 9,000 high school students.
Regardless of grades or income, the Dallas County Promise program is offering students from 31 North Texas high schools free attendance to community college.
To qualify, students must pledge their enrollment and fill out a financial aid form by Jan. 31.
The program will be funded by federal grants, scholarships and donors.
