A Dallas County Sheriff's Department deputy was accidentally shot in the leg Thursday during a training exercise.
The shooting took place during a drill at a gun range in Hutchins.
The deputy was transported to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas with non life-threatening injuries.
Both of the officers involved were veterans.
