Dallas AIDS Data May End Condom Distribution Ban

Dallas County health workers may soon be allowed to once again pass out condoms to high risk groups.

The Dallas Morning News reports the 13-year ban may be lifted because Dallas County now leads the state in HIV rates.

The Commissioners Court banned the practice of handing out condoms 13 years ago, believing it encouraged illegal and immoral behavoir.

Other sexually transmitted disease cases are also on the rise, officials said.
