POLICE OFFICER INJURED IN MOTORCYCLE WRECK
An Arlington police officer was injured Thursday when his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck. The wreck occurred at about 4:45 in the 4400 block of Little Road. The officer was treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Police said they are investigating the cause of the crash.

EX-FBI SPOKESWOMAN GETS PROBATION FOR DWI
A former FBI agent who also served as a spokeswoman for the Dallas field office has been sentenced to two years probation after pleading guilty to driving while intoxicated, the Star Telegram reported. Lori Bailey, 51, was arrested in February 2008 after she was involved in a traffic accident on the Dallas North Tollway near the Wycliff Avenue exit. The Rowlett resident retired after she was arrested.

GUNMAN LEAVES COUPLE FOR DEAD IN HOTEL STAIRWELL
Dallas police are searching for a motive in a shooting that left a couple for dead in a hotel stairwell. The gunman approached the couple at the Century Inn on Northwest Highway early Thursday and an altercation followed shortly thereafter. The gunman opened fire, striking the woman in the chest and the man in the groin and chest.  The woman is injured so severely she is not expected to recover, officials said. Investigators are looking over surveillance video and are searching for the gunman, who is believed to be driving a maroon-colored vehicle.

WOMAN KILLED IN HEAD-ON COLLISION
A woman was killed late Wednesday when her Ford Mustang collided head-on with an SUV at state Highway 377 near Farm-to-Market Road 1171. Two other people were injured in the crash and were transported by CareFlite to an area hospital.  The cause of the accident is under investigation and the woman's name has not been released.

COUPLE WALKING DOG STRUCK BY CAR
Witnesses told police a man and woman were struck by a car while walking their dog along the 4600-block of Fossil Ridge Circle in Fort Worth Wednesday night. The pair were transported to John Peter Smith Hospital.  Their condition, as well as that of the dog, is not known. 

7 ARRESTED IN DRUG BUSTS, 2 OTHERS SOUGHT
At least seven people were arrested in narcotics busts conducted by Dallas police at several locations Wednesday. Police said crack and other drugs were sold for years at a car wash near the fairgrounds. Police said the timing of the raid was not related to the state fair, which starts in about two weeks. Officers also hit two nearby drug stash houses and a supplier outside of Dallas. Police are still seeking two people on drug charges. Click here to watch a video report on NBCDFW.com.
