Here's a daily list of recent activities drawing the attention of North Texas law enforcement. List compiled on Dec. 8, 2009.

WOMAN ABDUCTED IN FRONT OF FRIENDS, RAPED
Police said a 20-year-old woman was abducted at gunpoint by two men and sexually assaulted in Dallas early Saturday morning.  The woman was leaving a party and walking with several friends when they were confronted by the two men in the 1800 block of North Garrett Avenue who forced her into a dark-colored sport utility vehicle. She was sexually assaulted, robbed and left near Fair Park in southern Dallas. She went door-to-door asking for help before someone assisted her in calling 911. After the abduction, her friends went to a nearby 7-Eleven, where they found a police officer. Dallas police questioned three men Tuesday night in connection with the attack. One man was released late Tuesday night because of a lack of evidence. The other two men were being held by police on unrelated charges.

DRIVER KILLED IN COLLISION WITH TRAIN
The driver of a red Jeep was struck and killed by a Burlington Northern/Sante Fe train in Burleson Tuesday morning. The driver was the only occupant of the Jeep, who apparently disregarded the train's horns and railroad crossing arms.  The train was headed northbound over a crossing near Farm-to-Market Road 731 and County Road 921.  The identity of the driver has not yet been released.

SEARCH CONTINUES FOR HIT-AND-RUN DRIVER
Garland police are searching for help in locating the driver in a fatal hit-and-run.  Shantrelle Osborne, 21, was hit at about 10 p.m. last Thursday on the 3300 block of Naaman School Road. A passer-by found Osborne after noticing a purse in the roadway. Investigators said they have few leads in the case.
