Four-year-old Kidnapped During Carjacking Gone Wrong
Fort Worth police say four-year-old Emilio Avila was found safe a short time after the car he was sitiing in was stolen. A tan 2004 Chevy Tahoe was stole in the driverway of 2509 Rattikin Road in Fort Worth while the young boy was still in the car. Police believe the suspect dropped the child off minutes later and continued on with the stolen vehicle.

One Killed in Fort Worth Motorcycle Accident
The driver of a silver Kawasaki motorcycle is dead this afternoon after he struck the rear of a Ford Focus on the I-20 exit ramp to Wichita Street. After being hit by the motorcycle, the driver of the Focus lost control and struck the guardrail. The driver of the motorcycle was ejected and suffered fatal injuries. Neither the driver nor the passenger in the Focus were injured.

Neighbor Who Stole From Cancer Patient Sentenced to Prison
Janice Gast was sentenced to four years and nine months in prison for stealing money from cancer patient Jody Short of Mansfield. Gast had stolen over $67,000 over about a year while she cared for Short during cancer treatments. During testimony, Short said of Gast, "I now know that there is something worse than cancer, and that is you." (Star-Telegram)
