The Texas Department of Public Safety said troopers uncovered a marijuana-growing operation southeast of Dallas on Tuesday.
Investigators said they found nearly 3,000 marijuana plants growing in a field near the town of Rice in Navarro County.
There have been no arrests in the case.
Troopers said their helicopter may have scared off the growers.
