DPD: Uncle Shot, Killed Niece Outside Pool Hall

A man shot and killed is own niece Friday night outside a Dallas bar, Dallas police said.

Arturo Zapata, 44, was in the Dallas County Jail Saturday. 

Investigators said just before 10 p.m. Friday night, Zapata shot and killed Obdulia Hernandez, 41, outside CJ’s Cantina and Billiards in the 7300 block of Gaston Avenue.  Police said they were able to quickly arrest Zapata after the shooting.

Investigators have not yet revealed what lead up to the incident.
