Train Derailed in Hood County, Traffic Delays

A freight train has derailed in Hood County, causing traffic delays in the area Thursday.

The train was blocking part of U.S. Highway 377 in Cresson, which is the main road between Granbury and Fort Worth.

Hood County Sheriff Roger Deeds initially said he expected the area to be closed until about 7 p.m., but the road was able to reopen at 5 p.m. after the train cars were uncoupled and moved out of the way.

No injuries have been reported.
