DFW Ranks in Orkin's Top 10 β€˜Rattiest' Cities for Rodents

Hide your cheese. Dallas and Fort Worth have moved up on the list of the "rattiest" cities in the United States.

Pest control company Orkin ranked the cities and regions where it performed the highest number of rodent treatments in the past year, and DFW cracked the top 10.

The North Texas region moved up four spots to rank 10th in the nation. Chicago topped the list, followed by New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco-Oakland and Washington, D.C., in the top five.

Houston came in 20th and San Antonio was 37th as the only other Texas cities in the top 50.

Orkin says fall is the start of "rodent season," when the critters look for food, water and shelter to survive the winter.
