Crash Ruptures Gas Main in East Fort Worth

Eastbound lanes of Meadowbrook closed until line sealed

A car crash in east Fort Worth has ruptured a gas main along the 9000-block of Meadowbrook Boulevard.

One car struck the gas main, rupturing the line, before hitting a tree between Eastchase Parkway and Randol Mill Road.

As of 9:45 a.m., the main is still open but the concentration of gas in the area is being diminished by wind making evacuations unnecessary.

All eastbound lanes of Meadowbrook are closed until gas crews can get the line closed.

One person was injured and was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.

NBC 5's Keaton Fox contributed to this report.
