A crash involving a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer closed the main lanes of northbound Interstate 35E between Belt Line Road and the President George Bush Turnpike for more than an hour Thursday.
Initial witness reports said a motorcycle rider was going too fast and hit the back of a tractor-trailer. The rider, who witnesses said was not wearing a helmet, was transported to Medical City Plano in an unknown condition.
The main lanes of the highway reopened sometime after 2 p.m.; the managed lanes were open throughout the investigation.
