Northbound I-35E Reopened After Fatal Crash: Authorities

Dallas County Sheriff's deputies said they shut down northbound Interstate 35E in Dallas because of a fatal crash Wednesday morning. [[306792141,C]]

Witnesses say a car was traveling northboung on I-35 when it veered off the highway, striking a pole behind the guardrail near South Marsalis Avenue.

Two people were in the car according to the Dallas County Sheriff's Office. The passenger was pronounced dead on the scene, and the driver has been transported to the hospital.

Neither of these indivudals' identities have been released yet, but investigators are scheduled to speak with the driver soon.

All lanes heading northbound have been reopened.
