Cotton Bowl Fans Begin to Invade Arlington

Fans in RVs pull up and party at Cowboys Stadium

The Cotton Bowl is still two days away, but some fans are already tailgating at Cowboys Stadium.

Every parking lot around the stadium was empty -- except one.

"The party starts now," said Arthur Mund, a Texas A&M fan who made the drive with his wife in their RV to support his Aggies against the Oklahoma Sooners.

RVs began pulling into lot 14 at about 10 a.m. Wednesday. Texas A&M jumped out to an early lead, with their fans showing up first.

"We're kind of into this tailgating thing," said Doug Jackson, another Aggies fan.

Some people came just to tailgate -- as in, they're not OU or A&M fans. Joseph Krebs is actually a Texas fan, but he lives in a torn household -- his wife is an A&M fan.

When asked who he will root for on Friday, Krebs said he would keep it neutral.

"I''ll probably just wear a white shirt," he said.

He's just here to party. It's one thing the two fan bases can agree on.

One OU fan said they'll be doing "a lot of eating and a lot of drinking beer and wine."

"We're going to fry some ribs, cook some gumbo," an A&M fan said. "We've got some fajitas and, I don't know, 14 or 15 cases of beer. We'll see what kind of trouble we can get into."
