Clerk Found Shot, Mesquite Police Search for 2 Robbers

Police said there is an active manhunt for at least two people who robbed a gas station and after a clerk was found shot early Friday morning.[[300265951,C]]

Mesquite Police Department officials said two people robbed a Chevron in the 3800 block of U.S. Highway 80 near Town East Boulevard.

When officers arrived, they found the clerk that had been shot in the leg.

The clerk was transported to a nearby hospital and then released, according to authorities.

Police described the first man as black or Hispanic with a light complexion in his late teens or early 20s, approximately five-feet, eight-inches to five-feet, 10-inches tall and 150 to 160 pounds, wearing a gray hooded jacket, baggy blue jeans, black and white basketball shoes with red shoe laces and carrying a black handgun.

The second person was a black man in his late teens or early 20s, approximately five-feet, nine-inches to six-feet tall and 160 to 175 pounds, wearing a black hoodie, black T-shirt and baggy blue jeans.

Surveillance video captures two people robbing and attacking a Mesquite gas station clerk who police say they found shot Friday morning.
