Child Nearly Shot in Drive-By Shooting

Dallas police said a bullet nearly hit a sleeping child in a drive-by shooting early Wednesday morning.

Officers are investigating after someone shot at several cars and a home in the 2600 block of Michigan Avenue, police said.

Carolina Belcran, who lives in the home that was shot, said she and her 4-year-old son and parents dropped to the floor when they heard gunshots. Several bullets went into the room where her son and father were sleeping.

"I don't know where it came from," Belcran said. "It was a scary moment."

No one was injured in the shooting.

Police said they found three bullets in the home, one in the car and at least a dozen bullet shells in the intersection of Michigan and Hobson avenues outside the home.
