Child Among 3 Wounded in Shooting Near Love Field: Police

Three people, including a 9-year-old boy, were wounded in a shooting at a Dallas-area gas station early Thursday morning, police say.

Investigators said two men walked up to the family's pickup truck, which was parked outside the Friendly's gas station in the 10000 block of Harry Hines Boulevard, and opened fire shortly before 5 a.m.

Paramedics transported three people to hospitals, including a child who was shot in the leg. A man was seriously wounded in the shooting, and a woman was seen with wounds on her face, officers said.

Officers said they were looking for two people in connection with the shooting. The suspects were believed to be driving a tan-colored Toyota Camry with front-end damage, and it may have been missing a hubcap, according to police.

Crime scene detectives noted that a total of four shots were fired at the family's red pickup truck.

No further information was released.
