Plant lovers in search of a rare sight should consider heading to East Dallas, where an agave plant is in full bloom.
The plant, along Tavaros Avenue, stretches high into the air with bright yellow flowers.
The agave blooms only once during its lifetime, and this one is making quite the first – and only – impression.
"It's nice to see all the different people that stop, by the cars that slow down, and it's great – you get to meet more neighbors that way," said property owner Trent Cantrell.
If you want to check out the rare century agave, don't wait. The plant dies soon after it blooms.
