Reward paid after fugitive's arrest in Dallas

A tip has led to the Dallas arrest of a Crips gang member on the Texas Department of Public Safety 10 Most Wanted list.

DPS on Thursday announced the arrest of 31-year-old Rickey Lynn Johnson.

The agency says a $7,500 reward will be paid on the tip received Tuesday that led to Johnson's arrest that afternoon at the Villa Del Sol/Mira Vista apartments on Antoinette Street.

Johnson, who was added to the most wanted list on Aug. 28, was walking with a woman, Lavota Evonne Yarbough, at the time of his arrest. Yarbough was also a fugitive and was arrested for numerous misdemeanor warrants.

DPS says Johnson was wanted for parole violation in Dallas County on cocaine charges. He has convictions related to a terrorist threat, criminal mischief, exhibition of a firearm in a school zone and drug counts.

Both Johnson and Yarbough were transported to the Dallas County Sheriff's Department Correctional Facility in Dallas.
