A couple of cats in Haltom City are being credited with saving a woman from her burning home.
A fire started inside the woman's home on Minnie Street overnight Wednesday as she slept.
The woman had no working smoke detector in the house and was woken up by the cats, according to firefighters.
The woman was treated for smoke inhalation and is expected to be OK.
Some of the woman's cats did not survive the fire, others were given oxygen by firefighters and are expected to be OK.
The fire is believed to have started in the kitchen.
