Texas Department of Public Safety has brought a chase to an end near Brookshire in western Harris County.
The chase started on westbound Interstate 10, the Katy Freeway, and at times reached speeds of more than 100 miles per hour.
During the chase the driver of an 18-wheeler tried to assist police by pulling his big rig in front of the white suburban.
Just outside Brookshire the lead DPS trooper shot out the right rear tire.
The driver of the suburban then pulled over just before a bridge.
Traffic on westbound I-10 was based up for miles as police arrested the driver and searched his car.
