Bush's Ride for Wounded Veterans is Scheduled for May

Former President George W. Bush's annual mountain bike ride for U.S. military members wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan will be held this year at his Crawford ranch in Central Texas.

The three-day ride will start on May 1. This will be the fourth year that Bush has hosted the Warrior 100K, a 100-kilometer ride.

Sixteen current and retired members of the military will take part.

The race is part of the Military Service Initiative at the George W. Bush Institute. The institute is housed at the George W. Bush Presidential Center on the campus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas. The center, which opened about a year ago, also includes Bush's presidential library and museum.
