Body of Missing Richardson Woman Found in New Mexico

The body of a missing Richardson teacher was found near a highway in New Mexico Tuesday afternoon.

The Carlsbad Police Department reported that the body of 30-year-old Emily Lambert was found at about 4:19 p.m. on Highway 31, just three miles from U.S. Highway 285, in New Mexico.

Police said Lambert's death is being investigated as a homicide. The department has developed a person of interest. No additional details have been released.

Lambert was visiting a friend in New Mexico when she was reported missing on Saturday, March 1, according to the Facebook page created by her family. Lambert was last seen leaving the Blue Cactus Bar in Carlsbad at about 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 1.
