The bodies of two men have been found inside a vehicle burning near a remote South Texas lake.
Responding to a call, Hidalgo County sheriff's deputies found the vehicle fire Friday night along a canal near Delta Lake, about 23 miles northeast of McAllen.
Department spokesman J.P. Rodriguez says firefighters found the bodies after extinguishing the fire.
The FBI is investigating, since the car was found on federally owned land. FBI spokeswoman Michelle Lee says the two dead men were adults. She said agents won't comment on how the men died until after autopsy results are received. The identities of the men are being withheld until relatives can be informed.
